Turn

As the world spins around like an out of control top in the ugly they’ve created with this Christmas season—I’m reminded of another turning...

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face.
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.

Fall away...all earthly callings, longings...desires......

I want nothing but my Jesusnothing but what He desires in me and for me.  I want the hearts of those I live with, those I serve with, those I brush up against on my daily wanderings to want Him.  The souls within the faces of the poor and destitutephysically, spiritually, emotionally.  I want everyone who has never heard His name to hear.  For those who have rejected to rethink.

“O God, turn us away from all that would turn us from you.  How can the depravity of this world tempt?  As you encircle us in the embrace of grace, you lift our eyes to meet your own.  May we not turn away uncomfortable.  Never fear the closeness.  Not want for any “thing” less than You!

Others may turn to the left and to the right.  Keep my footsteps within your footprints.  I turn not only my eyes, but my heart—my choice—my will—to you, sweet Savior!”
