Believing Prayer

I know people who believe in prayer simply because they don’t want to not believe.

Could that be you?

It once was me!

I didn’t want to believe that there wasn’t at least one someone somewhere that I could talk to, who wanted to hear me and what I had to say.  And although I didn’t always see a result or feel directed—I didn’t want to believe that there wasn’t a God who was all-powerful, who could meet every need...to the point of causing angels to come running if that was what it would take to help me.

Although God waits for no one, is dependant upon no one and moves when He is ready—our prayers do avail much!  They are not worthless—but very, very necessary!

God moves in the lives of those who pray.  He hears and responds to the voice of the pray-er.  When prayers and praise are lifted before Him in adoration and acknowledgement—He moves!

Because He desires to.
Because He promised to.
Because this is what He established!

So we pray.  We trust.  We go as we are directed.  We learn.  We lay down.  And we wait—believing He will move on our behalf.

For the things unseen are known to Him.  He will not fail.

God allows experiences to build for the benefit of many.  Those who walk through them and those touched in the process and aftermath.  God knows who is going to come to Him—and when.  We do not.  So we pray and trust.

He moves on hearts and in circumstances and situations.
Nothing can happen apart from His hand moving!
He moves in the lives of His beloved & in the lives of those to become.
He influences everything and everyone, everywhere!
There is nothing that happens that He does not have His Hand in.
That is how it is and always has and will be.

His plan from the ages is unfolding just as planned.  No concern.  No rush.  No last second fixes.  It’s all coming together perfectly—divinely influenced as inspired.  And our prayers play a big part in that.

Transactions take place in the spiritual realm whenever God is praised—wherever His name is raised!

Through Jesus Christ and the blood shed at the cross, we have access not only to the throne room, but to the power and authority of the One who sits upon that throne!

“All things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”  Matthew 21:22

That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large.  Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.
(Mark 11:24 - The Message)
