Settled Faith

It is good to have things settled by faith,
before they are unsettled by feeling.

Perhaps I’ll just add a tidbit here and say I have learned (experientially--as I'm sure you have as well) that settled faith becomes more firmly established after those unsettled feelings hit. That is when the faith is tried, tested, questioned and perseveres...or not.

It is good to have things settled by faith beforehand. But true faith--faith truly at rest in self, faith that is solid--is only known to be fully trustworthy when it has been pressed. When faith has stood up to emotion, outside influence, chaos...whatever...that is when it has become fully settled faith.

A faith not solely believed, but proven to be authentic.
