2 Corinthians 9:8

Okay...in talking about scripture that uses words of absolute, check out 2 Corinthians 9:8:

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed."

The context of this scripture is in caring for the needs of the saints. But I don't think that it is a stretch in applying it to all the good deeds (since the text does say "every good deed") that we avail ourselves to. He is our strength, our wisdom, our guidance and the power to enable us to do those things which He has called us to do. These verses are also cross referenced with the following verses from Galatians 6:

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. (v.7) And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. (v.9)"

So the next time you are up all night with a sick child or you are growing weary of your chores, remember ALL of God's grace is available to you in that situation. You ALWAYS have ALL of EVERYTHING that you need to be sufficient in completing the task. Not just enough, but an abundance! Go to Him and get it!

What an incredible promise that I needed to be reminded of today!

God not only IS my all, He gives me all and sustains me in all and makes me sufficient and abounding in all and every thing!

How awesome, How wonderful, How powerful, How loving is our great God!!!
